Learn The New Chest Physiotherapy treatment for babies and children. Paediatric Respiratory Physiotherapy course in London

Forget about clapping, positioning and all these inefficient lung drainage techniques!

During our Paediatric Respiratory Physiotherapy course in London: you will learn “The New Chest Physiotherapy technique” to clear the mucus from the baby’s lung safely and help them recover faster from bronchiolitis, bronchitis, chest infections and other respiratory infections. This technique also helps patients with cystic fibrosis breathe better in their everyday life.

For more than 20 years, expert physiotherapists have used this new drainage massage technique on babies. Based on the acceleration of the expiratory flow of the baby and followed by the use of the baby cough reflex, this technique is the most efficient to clear any chesty baby’s lungs in a safe way.

Who will be your teacher?

James Turgis, is the founder and director of Baby Physio, Mummy’s Physio and Excellence Physiotherapy.

James obtained his Physiotherapy diploma in France in 2002. After traveling around France to learn the different fields of physiotherapy, he then specialised in Paediatric respiratory and Chest Physiotherapy for babies. Since 2004, he has worked exclusively with babies who have respiratory issues and has developed his own methods to become more and more efficient in his chest physiotherapy techniques. He has developed “the static breath technique” which is softer and more efficient to clear mucus from the lung that the usual chest physiotherapy technique. He also developed a new and non-intrusive way to trigger the cough reflex of the baby, in order to make them cough without having to press on their trachea.

In London, for 19 years, James has been treating a minimum of 10000 babies and children with respiratory conditions.

He is now sharing his advanced respiratory techniques, offering training courses for physios and osteos in the UK.

What should you expect from our paediatric physiotherapy courses and training?

Our paediatric physiotherapy courses and training are designed to develop your skills and knowledge. For the best outcome, we always do a mix of theory and practical hands-on training. Teaching you the anatomy, physiology and practical skills needed to treat and feel at ease to treat specific baby conditions.

It is not always easy to feel at ease while treating babies, but at the end of our training, you will feel confident to treat your first little patient.

Why did we create this Paediatric physiotherapy training course?

At Baby Physio (part of Excellence Physiotherapy group), we are passionate about treating babies and children of all ages and with the best possible care.

Over the last few years, we have realised that it was more and more difficult for physio and osteo to find good paediatric training or courses in order to specialise in this field. We also realise that there are less and less paediatric physios trained in the latest techniques, which leaves a big gap in the market and fewer physiotherapists are able to treat babies’ conditions.

Therefore, we created a specific paediatric training course for physiotherapists and other allied health professionals who wish to develop their paediatric skills in order to offer babies in the UK the best care possible.
